Andrew Black - Director
Andrew Black was a senior solicitor in the Restructuring team at Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP until 2018. Andrew created AB Insolvency Limited, which commenced trading in August 2018.
Andrew has extensive experience of the full range of contentious issues that arise in an insolvency context. Over the years he has been involved in a number of high profile and high value cases from which he has developed a specialty and passion into forensic/fraud investigations and asset tracing. He has worked closely with other enforcement organisations such as HMRC, West Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Police and the Insolvency Service. Andrew has overseen and managed several freezing injunctions and search & seizure to successfully preserve assets in different cases. In his general day-to-day work he acted for Trustees in Bankruptcy, Liquidators and Administrators in the array of actions available in the insolvency legislation.
Peter Cranston – Consultant
Peter Cranston is now retired from full time practice as a solicitor and insolvency practitioner, having been a restructuring partner at DLA for many years until 2003 and thereafter at Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP until 2015 (since when he has been a consultant solicitor). He has substantial experience of all aspects of corporate insolvency. Until retiring, Peter was consistently ranked in the top tier for restructuring and insolvency lawyers in the principal legal directories ever since publication.
He is a past president of The Insolvency Lawyers’ Association and a member of its technical committee, and an occasional speaker and author on banking and insolvency related topics, including the IBA and ILA conferences, and published several articles in legal and other professional journals throughout his career in practice.
